Measles is an infectious disease transmitted by the measles virus. The signs
of the disease are: fever, bronchitis, conjunctivitis and a skin rash which
initially appears in the mucous membranes inside the cheeks and can later spread
over the entire body.
Complications of measles include: middle ear infection, pneumonia, encephalitis
and appendicitis. There is no drug therapy for measles. However, the disease
can be prevented by immunization.
